How to Become a PADI Open Water Diver?
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba diving certification, allowing qualified divers to dive anywhere in the world to 18 meters (60 feet). Millions of people have learned to scuba dive and discover the wonders of the aquatic world through this course. To enroll in the PADI Open Water Diver, the future diver must be at least 12 years old and have adequate swimming skills.
No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
To earn this certification, the student diver will learn the basic skills of scuba diving at our beach in Cozumel with one of our Instructors. It also has some theory to complete in our state of the art classroom.
Once the student masters these skills, the diver will put them into practice at the Open water dives from the beach or our boat at Cozumel’s nature reserve, next to the 2nd largest reef in the world.
When the students complete the course, they will receive the PADI Open Water Diver License and begin a new underwater adventure worldwide.
